Folks, if you’re looking for snow, Dixie Iaho is the place. I’ve posted a good local resource for trails and information on Snowmobiling in the Nez Perce National Forest and beyond.
SNOWMOBILE INFORMATION - ELK CITY IDAHO AND DIXIE IDAHO
Here’s the updated scoop from Rick at Silver Spur Outfitters and Lodge:
The Presidents Day Snowmobile Weekend will be celebrated this weekend in Dixie, Idaho, March 16th, 17th and 18th.
Saturday March 16 - Snowmobile Poker Run
Registration is 9am to 11am. The challenge begins at 11am.
Sunday March 17 - Snowmobile Drag Races
Registration is 9am to 11am. The challenge begins at 11am.
Snow conditions: Rick reports that there is 5-1/2 feet of beautiful white snow on the ground. Dixie, Idaho, the furthest little town from civilization, but quite civilized on its own, is set to see 200 extra folks milling about over the weekend.
If you’re a snowmobile fiend, Dixie Idaho’s Presidents Day Weekend is just the medicine you need to feel really good!
